Official Opening of AFL/Cricket Precinct at Blacktown Olympic Park


Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Charlie Lowles together with Cricket NSW Chief Executive Officer David Gilbert and AFL NSW/ACT General Manager Dale Holmes officially opened the new AFL/Cricket Precinct at Blacktown Olympic Park on Saturday 22nd August 2009.

Boasting two first class AFL/Cricket Ovals with the main oval having a capacity for 10,000 spectators with grandstand seating for 1600 the new precinct will further enhances the already world class Athletics, Baseball, Softball and Goalkeeping facilities at the park.

An indoor practice centre as well as outdoor turf and synthetic practice wickets for Cricket along with elite player and coach facilities will see the venue used for a variety of high quality AFL & Cricket competitions.

The new function room offers a magnificent view of all the action on Oval 1 with a commercial kitchen and bar.
