Now complete is theimpressive state-of-the-art AFL/Cricket stadium. The new AFL/Cricket Precinct boasts a 10,000 capacity stadium, two high quality ovals and an indoor practice facility, providing a launch pad for AFL and Cricket in Western Sydney.
This new facility complements the world class softball, baseball and athletics facilities already at the venue. Developed as significant playing and training venues for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and have gone on to host a variety of international, national, state, regional and local events ever since.
The International Series of Baseball, the National Softball and Baseball Championships, NSW Police Games and local and regional sports competitions have thrilled the crowds here at the park. Blacktown Olympic Park has also played proud host to a number of annual community events such as the Blacktown City 'Family SportsFest', Blacktown City Fun Runs, The Mayoral Walk and the Cancer Council Relay for Life.
Softball
Blacktown Olympic Park's softball precinct is rated as the best Olympic softball facility and is regarded as being amongst the best Softball venues in the world.
Athletics
Situated in the picturesque grounds of Blacktown Olympic Park, this world-class facilitiy caters for the full array of track and field events including steeplechase, javelin, long jump, high jump, pole vault, triple jump, shotput and discus.
Baseball
There are three international standard, full size playing fields, associated building and stadium infrastructure, and extensive training equipment. The facilities playing surfaces are professionally maintained to national standards by a team of dedicated grounds staff.
Soccer
Blacktown Olympic Park has a fantastic soccer field that is ideal for training, development camps and competition.
The fully irrigated field (Athletics Field Three) has sheltered seating areas and is fully floodlit.

World Masters Games Hit Into Blacktown Olympic Park

Blacktown Olympic Park will play host to the 2009 Sydney World Masters Games Baseball and Softball Competitions as part of the World Masters Games from October 10 to 18. The Sydney 2009 World Masters games will see athletes aged 25 and over from across the world compete in 28 different sports across 72 venues throughout Sydney.

Celebrate the official opening of the brand new AFL/Cricket Precinct at Blacktown Olympic Park in style with a ‘Sports Spectacular’ taking to the venue on Saturday 22nd August 2009. Boasting two first class AFL/Cricket Ovals, with the main oval having a capacity for 10,000 spectators with grandstand seating for 1500, catering and function facilities, an indoor cricket practice centre and a practice fielding area the new AFL/Cricket Precinct complements the Blacktown Olympic Park’s existing high quality softball, baseball, athletics and goalkeeping facilities.
