Be a part of the action this Saturday August 27 at the annual Blacktown City 'Family SportsFest' at Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney!
From 12pm to 3pm the AFL/Cricket Centre will come alive with a variety of FREE sports activities for the whole family to enjoy.
The event will include a variety of interactive displays from just about every sport you can think of including Aussie Rules, Athletics, Baseball, Cricket, Goalkeeping, Hockey, OzTag, Rugby League, Skating, Soccer, Softball and Tennis.
Discover Blacktown City's sport and recreation venues Blacktown Aquatic Centre, Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope, Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney and Emerton Leisure Centre who offer programs ranging from Learn to Swim, Health and Fitness and Social Sporting competitions.
Sport stars will be in hand throughout the day to pass on their skills in a variety of FREE half hour clinics. Clinic times:
12.15pm -GWS GIANTS AFL Clinic
12.45pm - Rugby League Clinic with players from Parramatta Eels and Penrith Panthers
1.15pm - Cricket Clinic with Sydney Thunder's Tim Armstrong and RTA SpeedBlitz Blues Players Nick Bills and Timm Van Der Gugten
1.45pm - International Goalkeepers Academy Clinic with Sydney FC players Liam Reddy and Scott Jamieson
2pm - OzTag Clinic with Manly Sea Eagles legend Cliff Lyons
2.30pm - Baseball Clinic with players from the Sydney BlueSox
Event partners, Wide World of Sports and the Blacktown Advocate, will add to the excitement, bringing along with them loads of goodies and giveaways.
Tackle the Adrenalin Rush inflatable obstacle course or get your picture taken with special guests Sammy the StarFish from Emerton Leisure Centre and Surfee Steve from Blacktown Leisure Centre... with giveaways, face painting, competitions AND MORE - there really is no excuse for missing out on western Sydney's largest sport celebration!
As part of the Blacktown City 'Family SportsFest' festivities, the GWS GIANTS will take on Eastlake in their final home game of the NEAFL season at Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney at 2pm. Entry to the game is FREE.
PARKING IS AVAILABLE AT BOTH AFL/CRICKET CENTRE AND ALSO WITHIN BASEBALL, SOFTBALL AND ATHLETICS CARPARKS.
