NAIDOC Day Celebration

On Friday, July 2, Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander communities will come together at Blacktown Olympic Park in celebration of their culture.

As part of National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observation Committee (NAIDOC) day, there will be a number of football clinics, art and dance workshops, information stalls and an appearance by Indigenous performer Jie Pittman.

NAIDOC was formed in the 1920's to increase awareness about the status and treatment of Indigenous Australians.

Celebrations kick off at 10am tomorrow, July 2 and conclude at 1pm.
