The International Goalkeepers Academy kicked off its specialised coaching program at Blacktown Olympic Park with a FREE 'Come & Try' Session on Thursday October 20.

The launch saw 40 youngsters take to the field to experience all the academy has to offer. Head coach Jim Fraser, former Australian International and goalkeeping coach to the Under 23 Australian Team and Hyundai A League Team Sydney FC, led the keepers in drills such as diving and stopping techniques.

Sydney FC Goalkeepers Clint Bolton and Justin Pasfield were on hand to pass tips on to the participants with Sydney FC Head Coach Pierre Littbarski and Assistant Coach Ian Crook also popping in on the session to check out the future goalkeeping stars.

Open to goalkeepers aged 10 and over the academy will be based at Blacktown Olympic Park with classes starting at 4pm each Thursday.
