Ex Socceroo Takes Guests 'Between The Posts' At Blacktown Olympic Park
Wednesday, July 18, 2007
Ex-Socceroo goalkeeper and current Sydney FC goalkeeping coach, Jim Fraser, took guests on a spell-binding and often humorous journey 'between the posts' and into the action at the latest Blacktown Olympic Park 'Sports Luncheon' on Friday 6th July.
Guests enjoyed a sumptuous three course meal and beverages, whilst Jim recounted tales of glory, achievement, disappointment and no little misadventure.
Popular NRL 'Footy Show' comedian Mick Meredith kicked off the entertainment with his unique style of entertainment before Jim took to the stage.
A variety of sports memorabilia was auctioned and two lucky guests took home a football signed by Jim Fraser and corporate box tickets to Aussie Stadium for the first Hyundai 'A League' game of 2007/2008, courtesy of a business card draw, kindly donated by the International Goalkeepers Academy.
Proudly sponsored by the International Goalkeepers Academy and Cadbury Schweppes, this was the second of the Blacktown Olympic Park 2007 Sports Luncheon Series.
The third and final Sports Luncheon for 2007 is on Friday 14th September and will be a very special event in support of the Cancer Council Relay for Life. Former Wallaby International and media personality Peter FitzSimmons will be our special guest speaker and will no doubt share his own international experiences as Australia embarks on its quest for the 2007 Rugby World Cup. This is event will sell out so don't miss your opportunity to be there.
