Former Wallaby International, Author, Journalist and Sports Guru Peter FitzSimons was the special guest speaker at the final Blacktown Olympic Park Sports Luncheon for 2007 held recently at Blacktown Olympic Park.

The luncheon, proudly supported by Gold Sponsor Cadbury Schweppes and Silver Sponsor Nestle Peters, saw guests enjoy a sumptuous three course meal and beverages, whilst Peter related tales from his days as a first class Australian Rugby Union player and his thoughts on how the Wallabies can bring the World Cup back to Australian soil.

Guests were treated to entertaining - and at times hilarious stories from Peter's time as international Rugby Union player, his passion for writing and his current role as radio presenter on 2UE's breakfast program 'Mike & Fitz'.

A variety of sporting memorabilia was auctioned at the luncheon all including signed 2007 Parramatta Eels Jersey, 2006 signed Wallabies ball and a cricket bat signed by the NSW Speed Blitz Blues.

The auctioned raised in excess of $2000 which will be donated to the fundraising effort for the 2007 Blacktown City Cancer Council Relay for Life to be held at Blacktown Olympic Park on October 27 - 28.
