LG Twins A Hit With Blacktown Olympic Park

Korean Major League Baseball team, the LG Twins concluded their spring training camp at Blacktown Olympic Park with a 'home run'! - claiming victory over the New South Wales Patriots in an exhibition match on November 17.

LG Twins coaching staff and players passed on their skills to over 60 youngsters at a free coaching clinic. Skills such as pitching, batting and event hitting a home run were on show to the youngsters and the crowd that gathered to see one of Korea's premier baseball teams in action.

The LG Twins had refined their skills and technique during their training camp claiming the match 6 - 3, after leading 6 - 0 until the final innings against the three time National Baseball Champions.

Councillor Leo Kelly OAM, Mayor of Blacktown City presented the LG Twins Head Coaching Staff with a memento of their time spent in Blacktown City.

The team hope to return to Blacktown Olympic Park for a second training camp before the 2008 Korean Major League Season commences.
