LG Twins Make Blacktown Olympic Park Their 'Home Base'

Korean Major League Baseball team, the LG Twins have made Blacktown Olympic Park their 'home base' for their Spring Training Camp.

The team, who are based in Seoul, arrived at Blacktown Olympic Park on October 23 2007 to begin their five week camp which will utilise the park's first class baseball field and equipment.

With Hawaii, Florida & South America popular destinations for major league team's off season training camps, this camp marks the LG Twins sixth visit to Blacktown Olympic Park - making Blacktown Olympic Park's baseball facilities one of the most sought after training camp venues for International teams.

While in Blacktown the LG Twins will conduct a free baseball clinic for youngsters aged 10 to 12 years on November 17 at Blacktown Olympic Park from 3.30pm. The LG twins will then take to the diamond and put their skills to the test in an exhibition match against the New South Wales State Team -'The Patriots' at 6.30pm.

This is a unique opportunity to see one of Korea's premier Major League teams go head to head with the three time National Baseball Champions. Entry to the game is free with canteen facilities available.
