Youngsters Kick, Hit & Sprint into Sport At Blacktown Olympic Park
Wednesday, July 18, 2007
Youngsters hit, kicked and sprinted into sport at the Blacktown City 'Super Sports' Clinics held at Blacktown Olympic Park.
From the 9th to 13th July, youngsters aged between 6 to12 years took part in a variety of sports under the direction of qualified coaches.
The Cricket, Soccer, Athletics, Rugby League and AFL clinics gave kids the opportunity to learn skills and techniques, all whilst making new friends and having fun.
Youngsters were bowled over with the skills taught at the Cricket Clinic which included wicket keeping, bowling and hitting a six!
Sprints, jumps and throws were all part of the Athletics Clinic whilst passing, goal scoring and goalkeeping were just a few skills taught at the Soccer Clinic
For footy fans the Rugby League Clinic taught skills such as passing, kicking and tackling with kids kicking into the AFL clinic learning how to 'take a mark' and 'handball'.
These fantastic clinics will be held at Blacktown Olympic Park during the October School Holiday period.
