Australian Footballer of the Year Kicks Into Blacktown Olympic Park

On the back of the Socceroos 2010 World Cup Qualification, Australian Footballer of the Year Mark Schwarzer will be making a special appearance at International Goalkeepers Academy, Blacktown Olympic Park on Friday 26th June from 5.30pm.
Current Goalkeeper for Australia and English Premier League Club, Fullham, Schwazer will be on hand to sign copies of the latest book in the successful children's series 'Megs Morrison'.
Credited with securing the Socceroos place in the 2006 FIFA World Cup by saving critical goals in the penalty shootout against Uruguay, Schwarzer has played an integral role in the Socceroos 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign, making him one of the world's most successful and respected goalkeepers.
Training the Mark Schwarzer's of tomorrow is a passion of former Australian Goalkeeper Jim Fraser who leads the International Goalkeepers Academy at Blacktown Olympic Park.
Offering guidance and support to keepers such as Schwarzer in his developmental years and current A League players Clint Bolton and Liam Reddy, Jim Fraser and International Goalkeepers Academy offers a specialised training program to ensure that all goalkeepers have the skills they need to take them to the next level, whether it be in their local weekend competition or for the Socceroos.
