Talented Youth Proves Key To Sydney's Success!

Hard work, training and commitment have paid off for Vedran Janjetovic Sydney FC's unbeatable Youth League Goalkeeper. The 21 year old Croatian born Janjetovic who trains at the International Goalkeepers Academy based at Blacktown Olympic Park put up rock solid defence on Saturday night to secure Sydney's Youth Squad - the Sky Blues a 2 - 0 victoryover Adelaide United at Hindmarsh Stadium.
Recognized for his mind set and work ethic, Janjetovic started training with the International Goalkeepers Academy when he was just 15. As a result his career has gone from strength to strength, spending timetraining with the Sydney FC's first team and sitting on the bench for the A-League matches.
Janjetovic has already expressed his ambition to become a permanent fixture in Sydney FC's A League side and his performance in Saturday's Grand Final match, diligent training and commitment at the International Goalkeepers Academy proves he has what it takes to go all the way!
A trip to Croatia, training with professional clubs in 2004 proved the catalyst in Janjetovic's determination for a professional goalkeeping career, his dream now within reach after securing the 2009 National Youth League Title.
Australian Football great Jim Fraser, coaching director of the International Goalkeeper Academy believes Janjetovic has what it takes to go all the way, describing Janjetovic as a great role model who spends his own time advising, mentoring and training with other keepers at the International Goalkeeper Academy.
