Blacktown Olympic Park will play host to the 2009 Sydney World Masters Games Baseball and Softball Competitions as part of the World Masters Games from October 10 to 18.

The Sydney 2009 World Masters games will see athletes aged 25 and over from across the world compete in 28 different sports across 72 venues throughout Sydney.

Developed as a playing and training venue for the 2000 Olympic Games, Blacktown Olympic Park is regarded as the premier Baseball and Softball venue in Australia. This will provide an ideal playing field for both the Baseball and Softball competitions with the 1996 Australian Women's Softball getting back together to take part in the softball competition.

The Preliminary games will be held at from Saturday October 10 at Blacktown Olympic Park and other venues with the Finals to be held on Sunday October 18 from 9am.
