2010 SportsFest Success

The 2010 Blacktown City 'Family SportsFest' was a great success with over 1,200 visitors making their way to Blacktown Olympic Park's Baseball Centre to celebrate sport and Father's Day on Sunday September 5.

Families enjoyed prizes, giveaways and the interactive activities from AFL, Baseball, Cricket, Goalkeeping, Rugby League, OzTag, Skating, Softball, Soccer, Squash and Tennis.

Sporting legends were on hand throughout the day to pass on their skills to the youngsters such as Penrith Panthers star Lachlan Coote, Manly Sea Eagles legend and Oz Tag star Cliff Lyons, AFL legend Robert 'Dipper' DiPierdomenico and former Socceroo goalkeeper Jim Fraser.

With animals from Featherdale Wildlife Park, mega inflatable fun and face painting, it's no surprise a great afternoon was had by all.

We look for to another spectacular SportsFest in 2011.
