A League Goalkeepers on hand to celebrate International Goalkeepers Academy’s 5th Birthday

Sydney FC goalkeepers, Liam Reddy and Ivan Necevski will be on hand to help celebrate the International Goalkeepers Academy's 5th birthday at a fun filled community Open Day on May 30th at Blacktown Olympic Park, Eastern Road, Rooty Hill.


Celebrations will kick off at 10am with a variety of interactive activities for all ages and skill levels.


This is a fantastic opportunity to see some of Australia's best keepers in action with demonstrations by professional goalkeepers at 10.15am and 12noon.


You can even improve your skills by taking part in a FREE goalkeeping clinic at either 10.45am or 1.30pm.


The day's fantastic fun filled schedule will unfold as follows;

10.00am - Warm up session by International Goalkeepers Academy Goalkeepers

10.15am - Demonstration on rebounder drills and techniques

10.45am - Goalkeeping Clinic for 13yrs and under

12.00pm - Shooting drill demonstration

12.30pm - Goalkeeper related games

1.30pm - Goalkeeping Clinic for 14yrs and above

2.30pm - Goalkeeper related games with International Goalkeepers Academy Keepers

Those who attend on the day will also have a chance to enter a draw and win a football signed by one of the most renowned goalkeepers in the world, Socceroos Goalkeeper, Mark Schwarzer!


Led by Ex Australian Socceroo Goalkeeper Jim Fraser, the International Goalkeepers Academy was established at Blacktown Olympic Park in 2005 to provide specialist goalkeeper training and development for students at all levels and ages. Over the past 5 years, many young talented players have progressed through the intensive program and have gone on to make the professional ranks such as Dean Bouzanis of Liverpool FC.


Recognised as one of the premier Academies in the country, the International Goalkeepers Academy regularly sees young prospects being joined by established professionals such as Liam Reddy of Sydney FC and and new Melbourne Heart keeper Clint Bolton.
