Get into Summer at Blacktown Olympic Park with a variety of actioned packed sporting events for the whole family to enjoy! From AFL to Baseball, from Cricket to Softball even Athletics and Goalkeeping- there is something for everyone at the heart of sport in western Sydney this summer.
For Baseball fans, the Sydney BlueSox will play their home games against the Melbourne Aces on December 3 to 5 at Blacktown Olympic Park. The BlueSox then return to Blacktown Olympic Park in their new year for games against the Perth Heat on January 6 to 9 and Adelaide Bite on January 12 to 15 and will be looking to secure their place in the finals series.
We don't like Cricket in Blacktown- we love it! Blacktown Olympic Park will host the Under 15 Women's National Twenty20 Championship Games from December 3 to 7 before the RTA Speed BlitzBlues take to the pitch against the XXXX Queensland Bulls in the Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield from December 18 to 21.
2011 kicks off with the best female softballers in the nation converging on the Blacktown Olympic Park diamond for the Under 19 Women's National Softball Championship from January 16 to 22.
Little Athletics competitors will sprint into summer at Blacktown Olympic Park with the Trans Tasman challenge on January 13 & 16, before the representative season is underway at the Zone and Regional Little Athletics Carnivals in February.
Goalkeeping stars of tomorrow can learn the skills from former Socceroo Jim Fraser at the International Goalkeeper Academy Training camps to be held from January 10 to 12 and 17 to 19.
But the Summer action at Blacktown Olympic Park doesn't stop there!
Blacktown's very own national AFL team, the Greater Western Sydney Giants will take on the Gold Coast Suns and the Sydney Swans when the new look AFL NAB Cup Pre Season competition returns to Blacktown Olympic Park on February 19. This is the first chance for the public to see the Giants take to the field at their home in Blacktown City before they join the National AFL Competition in 2012.
