Blacktown Olympic Park is fast becoming the most popular venue for School Athletics Carnivals with over 10,000 school students making their way to the Athletics Precinct for track and field events. This year's carnival season is booked to full capacity, catering for over 90 schools across the region.

St Bishoy Coptic Orthodox College kicked off the Athletics carnival season on March 19 with the last school carnival scheduled to take place on September 16.

Zone and Regional Carnivals are also held at the Athletics Precinct with Blacktown, Prospect, Mt Druitt, Hills, Landsowne and Macquarie all choosing to hold their representative zone carnivals at Blacktown Olympic Park. The Sydney West Secondary School Sport Association will also hold their Regional Carnival at the venue on July 29 and 30.

Advantages of holding an athletics carnival at Blacktown Olympic Park include full use of the athletics facilities and equipment including the all weather Olympic Standard Mondo (one of only two in NSW) athletics track, throwing fields, long jump and high jump facilities and access to a 1200 seat grandstand for students to watch and cheer on their fellow peers. Blacktown Olympic Park also operates the canteen facility.

But it's not just Athletics Carnivals Blacktown Olympic Park can cater for! Blacktown Olympic Park also boasts softball, baseball, soccer, cricket and AFL facilities that can be booked for school gala days or sports sessions. The grounds are also the perfect setting for cross country carnivals, orienteering or fun runs.
