The Best of Country Music Join The Fight Against Cancer

Excitement is starting to build as Blacktown Olympic Park gears up to host Concert for a Cure, a major fundraiser to be held on Saturday March 20 from 12pm to 8pm.

Proudly supported by Blacktown City Council and Blacktown Olympic Park, Concert for a Cure aims to raise money for Westmead Medical Research Foundation, a foundation established in 1995 to find vital cures for the future, as well as helping those in hospital today.

The day will be jam packed with country music performers including 2009 Golden Guitar winner Victoria Baillie, 2008 Australian Country Music Female Artist of the Year Dianna Corcoran, Luke O'Shea from the 2007 Independent TIARAS Best Band 'Medicine Wheel' and 7 time Golden Guitar winner Beccy Cole. Other artists also volunteering their time a musical talents to perform include The Rough Diamonds, Chris E. Thomas, Racz N Waters, Tori Darke, Dear Orphans, Aleyce Simmonds and Gemma Luxton.

Not only does the day include fantastic performances, but there will also be entertainment for the whole family including a jumping castle, face painting and a BBQ.

Tickets are available now at Blacktown City Council via Flushcombe Road Blacktown or at Blacktown Workers Club, Campbell Street Blacktown. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $7 for children and seniors. Family (2 adults and 3 children) are also available for $25.
