Westpoint Supports Relay For Life

Westpoint is a proud sponsor of the Blacktown Relay for Life and will be supporting this annual event in a bid to raise awareness, support and funds for the Cancer Council by hosting an in-Centre parade.

Relay for Life is a unique fundraising event that brings communities together in the fight against cancer.

Whether you are a cancer survivor, carer, supporting friends or loved ones, or simply wanting to make a difference, Relay For Life empowers everyone who participates.

The Blacktown Relay for Life will be held on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 October at Blacktown Olympic Park. The Relay for Life encourages friends, family, community groups, schools and business to enter teams of 10-15 to walk in relay around the athletics track over 24 hours. At least one person from each team should be on the walking track at all times - all to raise money in the fight against cancer. The event focuses on remembering and celebrating the lives of those who have been touched by cancer, while raising funds for cancer research, education and support services.

To drive further awareness of this great community event, Westpoint, in conjunction with the Cancer Council NSW and the St George Bank, will be hosting an in-centre parade on Thursday 14 October from 6.00pm.

Commencing from the On Four stage, the parade will be led by the Salvation Army Band and Cancer Council volunteers, along withWestpoint's Buddy Woof mascot and the St. George Dragon.

Customers are welcome to join the parade or make a donation. Complimentary supper will be also provided following the parade, courtesy of Nadia's Café.
