Community Football Kicks into to Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney

The International Goalkeepers Academy at Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney hosted a special community football clinic for local teenagers on Saturday 19 November.

Youngsters from Blacktown Youth College Bidwill and the Ted Noffs Foundation Mt Druitt were joined by the Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Alan Pendleton and Federal Member for Chifley Mr Ed Husic at the clinic run by ASR Pro Football in partnership with the International Goalkeepers Academy.

Participants were taught core football skills as part of ASR Pro Football's 'Football for Life' philosophy which aims to produce young footballers who are not only respectful players but respectful within their community.

Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Alan Pendleton commended ASR in selecting Blacktown City for the clinic.

'ASR is a fantastic organisation that encourages participation in sport and I congratulate Jim Fraser and the International Goalkeepers Academy in their role in bringing the clinic to Blacktown International Sportspark, the heart of sport in Western Sydney' said Mayor Pendleton.

The International Goalkeepers Academy runs regular weekly training sessions and holiday camps for Goalkeepers of all ages and skill levels at Blacktown International Sportspark.
