Sydney Blue Sox Claim First Win of the Season

The Sydney Blue Sox have made an impressive start to the 2011/12 Australian Baseball League Season with a 3 games to 1 series win over the Melbourne Aces at Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney over the weekend.

The Blue Sox claimed victory in Games 1and 2 of the series before the Aces took control in the third game to notch up a win.

Strong pitching saw the Blue Sox dominate the final game of the series, with a 2 - 0 win.

The Blue Sox will travel to Brisbane this weekend, before they take on 2010/11 Australian Baseball League Premiers the Perth Heat in a 4 game series at Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney over the weekend of 17 to 19 November.
