The International Goalkeepers Academy Strikes Again
Wednesday, March 9, 2011
Great strikes, brilliant saves, crosses and corners, heading and deflected saves are all just part of the natural competition between keepers and strikers which brings football fans to their feet all over the world. The International Goalkeepers Academy has struck again with the introduction of the Sydney Strikers Academy; joining together to create two new coaching programs - Keeper Versus Striker and a Schools Program.
Keeper Versus Striker has been developed to allow the two opposing positions to work with each other with the intent of developing the next level of elite players in their respective positions. The program offers participants position specific coaching sessions and a combined session where players are pitted against each other in the most natural ongoing contest in football.
In addition to Keeper Versus Striker, a Schools Program has also been developed for those aged 9 years and over. The Program offers weekly, morning, afternoon, full day and two day live-in training sessions. Participants will be coached in a variety of areas by undergoing a technical and tactical session, speed strength and conditioning session and game awareness training.
Each program participant will be in the capable hands of Academy Director, Jim Fraser, former Australian World Cup Goalkeeper and coach of both the men and women's Sydney FC teams since the inception of A League.
Keeper Versus Striker kicks off on March 23 and positions are available now for the Schools Program. To register your interest for either program please call 9675 2963 or 0402 390 705.
