The Westfield Young Matildas have uilised Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney's Soccer facilities for a four day training camp as part of preparation for their AFC U19 Women's Championship 2011.

Westfield Young Matildas head coach Jeff Hopkins put the players through their paces before the six team round robin tournament in Vietnam next month.

The team will have one more training camp on the Gold Coast prior to their Brisbane departure on October 1.

Among the 23 players are FIFA Women's World Cup stars Caitlin Foord and Teigen Allen who at 16 and 17 years of age respectively bring both a huge amount of talent and experience into the squad.

The top three sides from the AFC U-19 Women's Championship 2011 will progress to next year's FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup which will be held from 18 August - 8 September 2012 in Uzbekistan.

Mayor of Blacktown City officially welcomed the team to Blacktown City at Friday's training session.

'Blacktown International Sportspark and Blacktown City are pleased to play a role in the Young Matildas preparation and we wish them all the best for the competition,' Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Alan Pendleton said.

This is not the first time Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney's soccer facilities have been utilised by national Football teams with the Young Socceroos Training camp and Olyroos friendly game against Singapore held at the Park earlier this year.

Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney is also home to Football Federation Australia's Under 13's Skillaroos program and the International Goalkeepers Academy led by former Socceroo Jim Fraser also calls the Park home, offering a specialised programs for goalkeepers of all ages and skill levels weekly and during the school holiday period.
