Blacktown Olympic Park recently played host to the Parramatta Eels, when they sought assistance from former Socceroo Goal Keeper Jim Fraser, who is Chief Executive Officer of the International Goal Keepers Academy located at the Park.
As part of their pre season conditioning program The Eels swapped the oval ball for the round ball game- at least for a few hours, with an afternoon working on agility skills and soccer training techniques including diving, jumping, stretching and even shot stopping.
The Parramatta Eels were joined at Blacktown Olympic Park by Bl;acktown City Mayor, Councillor Charlie Lowles, a former soccer player and a great supporter of Rugby League for the last 30 years.
"Blacktown Olympic Park is an international class facility and it is wonderful to such a great precinct embrace all sports," said Mayor Charlie Lowles.
