EXCITEMENT is starting to build as Blacktown Olympic Park gears up to stage a major fund-raiser for the Westmead Medical Research Foundation, Concert for a Cure.

The event, to be held from noon to 8pm on Saturday, March 20, at the Park's Athletics Precinct, will feature performances by some of the finest practitioners of contemporary Australian country music.

Performing on the day will be Victoria Baillie, Luke OShea, Dianna Corcoran, Beccy Cole with Chris E. Thomas, Gemma Luxton, Tori Darke, Racz N Waters, Dear Orphans, Aleyce Simmonds and the Rough Diamonds.

It is supported by Blacktown City Council and was the brainchild of three residents who have each been touched personally by cancer.
