The month of 'Sportember' celebrates 10 years of sport at Blacktown Olympic Park since the inception as a training and playing venue for Athletics, Baseball and Softball for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. The month is jam packed with events from AFL, Cricket, Softball, Baseball, Soccer and Athletics - what more could you want!
To kick off 'Sportember' celebrations, the annual Blacktown City 'Family SportsFest' will take place on Sunday September 5 at Blacktown Olympic Park's Baseball Centre. Bring along your dad to celebrate Fathers Day with a family fun day at 'SportFest' and the chance to win some fantastic prizes! There will be no shortage of sport on the day with everything from tennis to soccer and rugby league to AFL - there's something for everyone! Also, keep an eye out on the day for sporting celebrities and even a mascot or two!
