Athletics Precinct
Blacktown Olympic Park's Athletics Precinct boasts an all weather MONDO Synthetic Athletics track, 1200 seat spectator grandstand and fantastic amenities including a Function Room that overlooks the track.
The Athletics Precinct can cater for Athletics Carnivals, Training, Concerts, Community Events and Festivals.
School Athletics Carnivals
The precinct also caters for School Athletics Carnivals including Zones & Regional Carnivals. Hire of the Precinct for a school, zone or regional athletics carnival includes the use of all weather synthetic track and throwing fields, access to athletics equipment and a fully staffed and catered canteen. The Booking Form for Athletics Carnivals are distributed to Schools in Term 4 each year with bookings allocated on a first in first served basis.
Training
Individuals wishing to train at the Athletics Precinct are required to purchase a permit.
The Blacktown Olympic Park Athletics Track is open for training Monday - Thursday 4pm - 8pm, and is closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and when major events are being held at the facility.
There is the option of purchasing single entry permits or a 6-month pass. Accredited coaches can purchase a 12-month pass enabling them to train athletes at the track.
Permits can be purchased from the office by appointment only. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 4.30pm.
The Blacktown Olympic Park Athletics Track can also be booked for exclusive training - subject to availability.
National Rugby League Team, the Penrith Panthers and NSW Soccer League team the Marconi Stallions have used the facility for their pre-season strength and conditioning training. The National Parks and Wildlife Service also undertake their annual fitness assessments at the venue.
